We all want our houses or offices to be clean all the time… It might be real challenge to maintain a clean home. Here are a few of our tips for when you face dirty places alone.
Dust left to right, top to bottom:
Cleaning homes left to right, top to bottom corrals dust and dirt and prevents house cleaners from missing an area.
Dust first, then vacuum:
Even the best house cleaner can’t keep all dirt, dust and other allergens securely in a rag. These particles fly around, ultimately ending up on the floor. Vacuuming after you’ve dusted ensures cleaner homes and surfaces
Regularly brush and bathe pets:
Keeping pets brushed and bathed eliminates the amount of dander, dirt and other allergens circulating through your home. Cleaning pet brushes and bathing your dog or cat outside, or in one room of your home, also cuts down on additional dirt and mess.
To maintain your carpets’ appearance, they should be professionally cleaned every six to 12 months. If, however, you’ve suffered damage from water, fire or smoke, they need help right away.
Ceramic tile floors:
No need to wax.. Just sweep and mop on a regular basis and they stay clean and shiny. Mop floors with clear water or just a dash of liquid dish soap.
Marble and Granite floors
If polished marble or granite is protected with floor finish, the finish must be buffed or burnished and periodically replaced to keep the surface protected and looking good. Never use powdered cleansers, steel wool, metal scrapers or colored scrub pads on cultured marble or granite. A little appliance wax, car wax or silicone sealer will also help fill fine scratches and restore the shine.
